Amit is known for his performances in movies like Ek Chalis Ki Last Local, Shorr in the City, Yamla Pagla Deewana, and Kya Kehna among others.

Amit was also a renowned name in the television industry. He was known for his stint in Tenali Rama and Shubh Mangal Savdhan.

The actor made his digital debut with Bandish Bandits.

TellyChakkar got in touch with actor Darshan Zariwala, who had been a close friend of Amit. Recalling his bond with the actor, Darshan said, “Our friendship started as we starred in a few Gujrati plays together. He was a very talented actor. We also starred in a Gujrati film together. He was deeply immersed in and enjoyed music. We connected very well on our love for music. We used to both sing together. It’s very shocking and saddening to lose a friend and an artist like him at the early age of 47 years.”

TellyChakkar wishes that Amit’s soul rests in peace.

We hope and pray that his family gets the strength to overcome this irreparable loss.
