For the uninitiated, Rubina, apart from being an actress is also a fashion designer, who spoke to us about her passion for designing. “I love designing clothes but those are only for charity auctions. I have been associated with many organizations like Shankara Eye Foundation. Then again, I am associated with organizations like Maithili and Shakti, which work for the victims of domestic violence.” The actress who designs outfits throughout the year organizes a charity event every year in Los Angeles, New York or in other parts of U.S., where she puts her clothes for auction. When we ask her about the reason behind her involvement for a gentle cause, Rubina says, “I believe if one can make a difference to other’s life by using one’s skill then one should do it. To bring smile to someone’s face is a happiness which cannot be described by words.” Rubina, who has launched her own fashion brand in September this year strictly holds on to her position of not designing clothes for any other purposes and hence has rejected the appeal of many of her industry friends.
