Besides doing several shows like Bhaskar Bharti on Sony Entertainment Television and Sasural Genda Phool on Star Plus, the beautiful Ragini Khanna is now moving towards the big screen and recently tasted success with a Punjabi film. In a freewheeling chat with Tellychakkar.com, the charming lady talks about her latest Akshay Kumar-produced Punjabi comedy film Bhaji in Problem that released on 15 November. Talking of the kind of response her character Preet Cheema has been garnering, she says, “I am extremely happy with the response that my character has been generating. I think the film has great humor and a good sense of timing. It was a wonderful experience working with Akshay Kumar; he is the most humble, sweetest and down-to-earth person I have ever met in my life. All in all, I was content working with all the senior actors as I learnt a lot in terms of acting and film making.” Interestingly we asked her if she sees herself going the TV actor-turned Bollywood star way. “I obviously see myself doing more films but that does not mean it is a ‘no no’ for television shows. The only difference is that films give you an opportunity to maintain the quality of work that you are presenting, while daily soaps is something where you do not get time to work on yourself. Irrespective of whether it is films or TV shows, I would like to do more experimental roles where I can present a variation to my talent as an actor,” she answers. On a lighter vein she also revealed her desirable list of directors she would want to work with. Showing off her pretty dimples, she says, “There is such a long list of directors I want to work with the likes of Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Raj Kumar Hirani, Anurag Kashyap amongst the many others.” Well Ragini we wish you all the best with your filmy career!
