Well, there goes a saying the imitation is the best form of flattery. And guys, we at Tellychakkar.com get flattered everyday when our stories get copied, oops… plagiarized, and posted on varied other entertainment portals and even, renowned national dailies. For long we chose to avoid the felony, but we had to get vocal after yesterday’s (April 1 2012) act of utter mockery.

Where are we getting at? Well, yesterday being The April Fools’ Day, we decided to dole out few fictional stories, namely, Vivian Dsena and Vahbbiz Dorabjee are secretly married, Shakti Mohan returns to Dil Dostii Dance, Sushant Singh Rajput all set to re-enter Pavitra Rishta, Sachin Tendulkar to do a cameo in CID, Dill Mill Gayye, Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani and Geet to come back on TV. The stories got a good response and at the end of the day we declared that we were just fooling around.

But in the mean time, many other media houses thought that the stories were true and blatantly went ahead to copy paste them. Some of the websites that live by plagiarism are, punjabijunktion.co.in, desitvforum.net, pakistantvdekho.com, and many other.

But what amazed us was that the story of Sachin Tendulkar to do a cameo in CID was picked up by Times of India and MSN. Times of India did a story on their own reiterating our bluff as facts and MSN, of course, put Tellychakkar’s name as courtesy.

Just for the sake to re-confirm, we again called up B P Singh, producer of CID, to check whether he has really gone ahead and signed up Sachin for a cameo. But he went on to deny and said, “Not at all. It is hilarious. I think you guys should take credit for your stories being picked up.”

Well, we are just trying to serve the fascinating world of television as wonderfully as possible. And for all copycats out there, maybe it’s time to wake up and smell the coffee!!!
