MUMBAI: It was only recently that we reported about Smriti Irani undergoing an amazing transformation.

The actress turned politician took to social media on December 25, to share the happy news of her daughter Shanelle’s engagement. Proud and happy mom Smriti, posted photos from the engagement with a hilarious note.

The images show Shanelle being proposed at a picturesque location by Arjun, who went down on his knees for the special occasion. The second image is of a happy selfie of the ‘just engaged couple’

Smriti’s daughter Shanelle Irani is engaged to Arjun Bhalla. The former actress, who is known for her iconic Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, wrote: "To the man who now has our heart @arjun_bhalla welcome to our mad cap family .. bless you for you have to deal with a crazy man for a father in law & worse .. me for a Saas … (you have been officially warned) God bless @shanelleirani #newbeginnings."

Known for posting funny memes, Smriti maintained her witty side while wishing the couple. Many celebs wished them on Smriti’s social media post.

For the unversed, Shanelle is Zubin’s daughter from his first marriage to Mona Irani. Apart from Shanelle, Smriti has two more children Zohr and Zoish. Zohr and Zoish are Smriti’s children with husband Zubin Irani.
