MUMBAI: Talented actor Amit Sinha, who has played important roles in shows like Shakti, Tenali Rama, and Ek Vivah Aisa, has bagged Colors’ Vidya.

Amit has played a teacher’s role in Shakti and has once again turned tutor for Vidya.

According to our sources, Amit will play a Hindi teacher who us against Vidya. Amit's character will be grey.

We tried reaching out to the actor, but he remained unavailable for a comment.

Vidya is a social drama produced by Mahesh Pandey and stars Meera Deosthale and Namish Taneja as Vidya and Vivek respectively.

Vidya is an illiterate army widow who gets a compensatory government job as an English teacher. But while it is an unfamiliar language to her, she gathers the courage and strength to teach English, incorrectly at first, and gradually learns and overshadows her weakness.
