Bollywood superstar Anil Kapoor who will soon bring the hit international action thriller 24 to the desi screen on Colors announced that his maiden TV production and small screen acting debut will make its entry around August/September (2013).

Trying to play safe Anil refused to comment on the remaining cast. The project directed by Abhinay Deo though has gone on floors recently.

When asked about the risks involved in mounting such an expensive project given the traditionally low returns of desi fiction, says Anil, “Till now only non-fiction was having a huge canvas. But the scenario is now changing with fiction as well with the association of big names with it.”

“Anything new you start is bound to create a certain kind of curiosity around it. People will speculate whether it will work or not? There will also be some jealous folks around as well who will try to pull you down. But you got to do what you got to do… right?” he adds.

Just how serious Anil is towards 24 can be seen from the fact that he will not sign any more projects till this short series format wraps ups. He was speaking to media regarding his only other film Shootout At Wadala which will release on 1 May (2013).
