Balaji Telefilms’ Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi, for Colors will go on floor from today (29 May). As we know, the show will see the comeback of veteran actor Sarita Joshi to the small screen. Shakti Arora will play the lead, while Nitin Vakharia has been roped in for a pivotal role. We now hear that actress Aparna Dixit who essays the role of Mansi, in Zee TV’s Pavitra Rishta has been finalized to play the parallel lead on the show. This is the same role that was earlier offered to Jodha, Paridhi Sharma. Also, veteran actor Muni Jha will play an integral part. The interesting part here, will be that Jha will play the husband of Gauri Pradhan. The duo have earlier shared screen in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, wherein Gauri played the bahu of the Virani family, in which Muni Jha played the role of JD chacha. A source states, “Gauri will essay the character of a lady whose husband had left her when young. After this, her character would have married another guy, essayed by Muni Jha who would have been in love with her.” Muni Jha and Gauri will play the parents of the female lead. As for Aparna’s character, the initial episodes of the show will begin with a wedding, in which the important role of the bride will be played by Aparna. Hers will be a cameo role, is what we get to hear. When contacted, Aparna told Tellychakkar.com, “Presently, I am shooting for Pavitra Rishta. But yes, I think I am doing the role in the new Colors show. I will start shoot from today.” We tried calling Muni Jha but could not get through to him. We also hear that the lead girl in the show opposite Shakti Arora will yet again be a new find of Ekta’s. The girl’s name is Radhika and is from Delhi. She is completely new to acting. We wish the team of the new show all the very best..
