It's a Marathi serial for ZEE Alpha and the actor is quite gung-ho about it as she relates her experiences, "People are so prejudiced that they ask in surprise, 'you are doing a Marathi serial?' I wonder why this attitude towards regional channels. But I am proud to admit Yes, I am." But the surprise lies in her casting as Aparna recounts the incident, "I was called for the audition mistaking me to be a Maharashtrian by birth. I got through the audition with flying colours since I am good at speaking Marathi. But when the production house discovered I am a Bengali married to a Maharashtrian, their astonishment could not be contained. Nevertheless, I bagged the role in the daily Marathi soap 'Asambhav'. But now Aparna prays for an extra half-an-hour to God for according to her, "Delivering dialogues with the right expressions are quite different from normal conversations in the language. Taking up a role is a commitment and I don't want to fall short at any time. I am reading Marathi papers, improving my diction and contemplating attending classes." Elaborating on the story she says, "It's no saas-bahu rono-dhona. It's a family drama with an awesome twist and people watching it from the beginning will feel something is amiss in the serial. And there lies the catch!" Her husband Dr.Amod is thrilled to bits about it as she puts it, "After teaching me medicine for my doctor's role in LRL, he is now my tuition teacher!"
