MUMBAI: Athar is known for projects such as Attack, Paltan, The bachelorette India, Chandra Nandini, Jhansi Ki Rani, Jag Janani Maa Vaishno Devi. He is currently a part of Dangal TV’s Jai Chatti Maiya where he ply the titular role of Suryadev.

The actor soon ventured into the OTT space with new webseries and explored himself as an actor. However, Athar soon got roped in to play a titular role in Mann Ki Awaaz Pratigya 2 on Star Bharat. Athar plays the role of Dhara Tyagi in the show who loves to murder people. He is seen in a very challenging role. Speaking about being a part of the show, Athar shared, “When I was young and in college, I used to watch youth based shows but my family used to watch this show with much interest. It aired at a time when we all used to have family time and hence I too ended up watching the show.

“All in all, it feels good to be a part of a show which you have seen since your college time. When I was given an opportunity to be a part of the script, I immediately gave a nod, “he added.

When asked about his bond with actors Pooja Gor and Arhaan Behl, Athar shared, “I have shot with Pooja and Arhaan and I must say they are fabulous actors. They tend to blend into their roles well and there is no issue of who is old and new. Everyone on the set is humble and grounded. The environment while shooting becomes comfortable because of this reason.”

Recently, Athar was also a part of a webseries which is set to release on March 25.

Athar will be a part of Pyaar Invisible produced by Arunima Pictures. The RDX Movies webseries is based on how a girl falls in love with a guy but she never expresses her feelings.
