Earlier in the day, we promised to get back with more ‘spicy’ updates from the sets of Zee TV’s Pavitra Rishta, after filing our piece on Ankita Lokhande apparently getting affected with the growing popularity of co-star Asha Negi. We now hear that the ‘attention-seeker’ Ankita Lokhande was back into action few days back when she made a hue and cry over her beloved show Pavitra Rishta getting shifted to the early evening time slot of 6.30 PM. Well, having said this, we had earlier exclusively reported about Ankita being apprehensive of continuing with Pavitra Rishta if at all, the time shift happened. It seems her ‘anxiety’ over the last few days got to the peak and she ‘over-reacted’, creating a ruckus in the Balaji office. Here is the version of our reliable source – “Ankita recently barged into the Balaji Telefilms office with an immediate want to meet Ekta Kapoor. She kept making statements that she will always be a ‘prime time actress’ and that her show cannot be slotted at an earlier time slot. The people around had ask her to gather herself. After this, she was sent in to meet Ekta Kapoor, who had a pep-talk with her.” We hear that later, Ankita also had a talk with the creative team on the show, who gave her all the attention that she needed. They tried to explain her that the entire show rested on her shoulders, as most of the screen time was given to the two characters she played, either as Archana (older version of Ankita) or as the young Ankita. After being in the ‘limelight’ for some time, Ankita we hear, gave her consent to continuing with the show. Finally, it seems as though all’s well in the Pavitra Rishta camp with respect to Ankita. But all this makes us ponder - Ankita has always had her way, when it comes to the creative calls. As we know, this is not the first time that the lady has tried the ‘I quit’ method to get whatever she wants. Ankita was earlier not prepared to age, and had threatened to move out of the show. In order to retain her, the new track was woven around the younger Ankita post the leap. Now, Ankita wants a crisp romantic track to be created between her character and the male lead Naren (Karan Mehra), which she will eventually get. Tellychakkar.com has already carried a story about Naren getting better in health, and consummating their relationship very soon. We sent a text message to Ankita Lokhande, but did not get any revert till the time we filed the story. Our efforts to reach out to Producer Ekta Kapoor were in vain. This simply goes to show that Ankita ‘loves it’ when she gets her way!! Must say, a good attribute to have, if restricted to a limit.
