MUMBAI: Zee TV show Kumkum Bhagya gained massive popularity with the drama showcasing Sriti Jha and Shabir Ahluwalia in the lead roles.

As Pragya and Abhi, two took the drama to another level narrating a story of Sarla Arora, who runs a marriage hall, hopes to see her daughters, Pragya and Bulbul, married. The sisters have their own dreams and ambitions but it all changes when Purab and Abhi enter their lives. While the story started as this, the show has been running successfully from many years now and looking at the fan admiration, the producer Ekta Kapoor introduced a spin-off of the show titled Kundali Bhagya.

Kundali Bhagya features Shraddha Arya and Dheeraj Dhoopar in the lead roles.

While both the shows rule the roost on the BARC charts, there are also some comments on how the show is monotonous. There is also a section of the audience which says that the producers should end Kundali Bhagya and if the audience loves it so much, there should be a rebooted version of the same!

Renuka Menon shares, “I absolutely love Kumkum Bhagya and just when I could not have enough of it, then makers introduced Kundali Bhagya. I love the characters of Pragya, Abhi and Preeta Karan a lot. Also, the way Kundali Bhagya picks up pace is amazing. I love how Prithvi is seen in different shades and I see no reason for the show to go off-air! I mean it is so entertaining after so many years too!”

Ami Nair expresses, “The x-factor of the show is that despite it being termed monotonous, it still continues to rule the BARC Rating charts. We might call it monotonous but we are still hooked to watching it hoping for a fresh twist."

Disha Sorathia opines, “I do hope they come with something unique and break the monotony as my family and I only watch it because it has become our mundane dinner routine”

Ayush Mehta believes, “The female lead either gets kidnapped or there is some murder mystery or a storyline revolving around the same plot time and again. Rebooted versions of shows are very much trending so I think it is a good option.”

Sumesh Shetty says, “Kundali Bhagya is like old wine in the same bottle. I think we need something fresh and unique to watch than the same monotonous drama.”
