#AUDIENCE VERDICT: Reality shows are NO MORE real as they RECYCLE CONTESTANTS across shows

However, while the young talents are seen giving their best, we see them being recycled from one show to another along with a few fresh talents.

MUMBAI: Reality shows are always a visual delight.

While daily soaps entertain us throughout the week, it is the reality shows which book the weekend slots and keep us entertained with a different flavour of television. While there are many singing and dancing reality shows on television, there are some shows that have made a special place in the audience's hearts. Shows like Indian Idol, Dance Deewane and others are projects in which people cannot have enough of the young talents gracing the show and making it to the top.

However, while the young talents are seen giving their best, we see them being recycled from one show to another along with a few fresh talents.

Here is what the audience has to say:

Sanjeev Vaidya says, “I really like watching reality shows because they are like a breath of fresh air. However, I see that the talents and performers which are introduced have tried their luck in other shows too to win the coveted trophy. I would like to see fresher talents.

Narendra Mohanty shares, “So fortunate to hear so many old classical songs sung by all contestants and kudos to musicians. We are very proud of all the people behind the scenes in planning, taping, editing audio visuals, writers, directors and hundreds are people helping produce reality shows. Even the dances are a visual delight to watch.”

Chander Vanjani opines, “Even earlier I have mentioned that while light-hearted humour is good, incorporating emotional elements of the hardships people have been through is a little unnecessary. With regards to contestants, at once you do not come to know but yes, the contestants are given an opportunity and it is not always that the new contestants are brought on board.”

Manisha Deshpande believes, “From last few seasons, this show has turned from singing competition to shouting competition. Whoever shouts louder gets judges appreciation. There is some amazing talent which intentionally got ignored by the judges. With regards to contestants, I feel that it is quite obvious that if one does not win the competition, they are bound to try other such platforms where they can compete but in terms of presenting an entertaining show, yes, it does not feel good to see the same contestants showing their worth which they have already shown previously.”

Kajal Mehta feels, “Be it singing or dancing shows, firstly the concept of all the shows is extremely similar and I would definitely want to see something different. The shows are getting monotonous. I want to see something different.”
