MUMBAI: Television actor Dev Joshi who became a household name with his TV show Baalveer will be one of the 7 people who will be flying to the moon in 2023. He is the youngest among the others on the SpaceX flight.

The mission is funded by Japanese Billionaire Yusaku Maezawa, who has purchased every seat in the lunar expedition. Dev Joshi was selected from one million applicants from 249 countries. This is the first civilian mission to the moon and the winners for the same were announced on Twitter.

A video of Dev on twitter the Baalveer actor is heard saying, “You have seen me flying in space as a superhero. Time to make it real.”

Dev began his acting career at a tender age of 3 and has been part of many TV serials and also Gujarati cinema with over 20 films to his body of work. 

Dev is at present pursuing a master’s in International Affairs and Diplomacy from the UN institute of Training and Research.
