In the latest promos of Kaun Banega Crorepati 4, Amitabh Bachchan smilingly says, ‘Hum toh ready hain’. But according to a source closest to the show, Mr Bachchan is getting ready in more ways than one to make the first episode of the new season a paisa vasool one. For one, he is singing and dancing in a special video choreographed by Shiamak Davar. The video (to be shot at Yash Raj studios) will have Bachchan singing a remixed version of a song from Laawaris which apparently they have mixed it up with some international foot-tapper. “He had performed on that song in his The Unforgettables tour and wants to bring it back for the viewers of KBC. He will kick off the video by speaking his popular dialogues from films like Deewar, Kabhie Kabhie, Agneepath and so on. Everyone knows he is very averse to the idea of mouthing his dialogues but this time he will make an exception. He is kicked about the idea because it’s his show, the show which started his journey on TV. He is proud of it and wants to pull out all the stops to make it a rocking one.” Apparently, all those associated with the show are well aware of the fact that KBC now needs more pumping up than it did 10 years ago, more so because it’s an old show but on a new channel. Bachchan himself is not wary of the competition coming from rival shows but is realistic about his own show. He feels that KBC follows a particular format and has its own demands, you can’t turn it around and make it like a Dus Ka Dum or something else. The flavour of KBC is unique and so it’s better to stick to that than trying to make it a different show. Well, we love the approach and hope, KBC once again rolls the dice in the favour of all those banking on it!
