Ban on Bhupinder Singh lifted; actor resumes shoot for Zee TV’s Kaala Teeka

Bhupinder Singh

The ‘slapgate’ controversy of actor Bhupinder Singh on the sets of the Zee TV show, Kaala Teeka is over and dusted!!

Yes, Bhupinder has apparently apologized, hugged and patched up with the senior most member of DJ’s – A Creative Unit, Rajendra Upadhyay, whom he had allegedly slapped and abused in broad daylight. Mr. Upadhyay serves as the Production Head with the renowned production house.

For those who have missed reading the entire controversy, here is a quick recap.

Few days back, Bhupinder in a spur of the moment, had apparently slapped Upadhyay, which had lead to the union members demanding a ban on the actor.

As a result, the Federation (FWICE) threw a ban of three months on Bhupinder.

Days after the incident, we now have a fresh update on the controversy...

As per a credible source, “With CINTAA intervening in the matter, the parties have come to a mutual understanding, and this has happened after Bhupinder sent out apologies to Mr. Upadhyay. As a result of this, the ban thrown in by the Federation on the actor has been revoked. And Bhupinder has in fact resumed shoot from today.”

A source from the set of the show told us, “Today, Bhupinder and Upadhyay met, hugged and patched up. And that actually sorts the matter.”

Confirming this, Amit Behl, Member of Dispute Committee, CINTAA said, “Yes, it is true that the controversy regarding Bhupinder has been solved. Bhupinder has apologized to the production guy, and this brought in the ban lift. Bhupinder has resumed shoot from today.”

We talked to Producer Tony Singh, who also explained, “It is true that Bhupinder is back. We have mutually sorted out things, and all is well.”

Well, when we spoke to the actor Bhupinder, he wanted to come with his clarification on the entire slap incident.

Talking to Tellychakkar.com, Bhupinder said, “First of all, there was no slap incident involved with Mr. Upadhyay. Things were in fact blown out of proportions. Yes, there was a minor argument on the given day, and that’s it. I will rather term this as sensationalism, rather than mere journalism. I do not want to talk further, as I need a good clarification to the story you wrote earlier.”

Well, all we can say is that ‘All’s well that ends well’... With the actor resuming work and sanctity prevailing on the set, the show will go on!!
