MUMBAI: Barun Sobti is the heartthrob of the small screen and popularly known for his role Arnav Singh Raizada in Star Plus' show Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon. The actor starred opposite Sanaya Irani in the show and their on-screen pairing became a huge hit among the viewers. 

While Barun was slaying in his angry young man avatar in Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon, the news about the actor quitting the show broke several hearts. Barun wanted to pursue his career in Bollywood and decided to bid adieu to TV. 

Mostly, when any actor or actress quits the show, their characters are replaced by someone else. But that didn't happen here. Barun had expected that the producer of the show Gul Khan would replace him with some other actor.

However, Gul chose to end the show altogether. This was also because fans loved Barun too much. The ace actor also revealed in an interview that Gul had a long story all prepared for so many of episodes of the show, but she still chose to end the show. Barun went on to say that every actor should at least once work with Gul, as she is one of the best things to ever have happened in his career.

Well, going by Barun's popularity, this was bound to happen.
