MUMBAI: Asim Riaz rose to fame with his participation in Bigg Boss 13. The actor-model didn't know how his life would change post this popular reality show. He not only performed well but also became a youth icon.

He didn't win Bigg Boss 13's trophy but became the first runner-up of the show. Fans showered love on him and kept supporting him till the end of the show.

There's no looking back for Asim Riaz as he is quite in demand these days. Asim went on to bag multiple projects post his stint in Bigg Boss 13 and he has never failed to entertain the audience.

Being an outsider, the journey for Asim Riaz was not that easy but he proved that nothing is impossible.

The actor is definitely going to have a flourishing career ahead, but before Asim tasted success, he had to go through a lot.

Asim Riaz recalled his struggling days. He opened up about his emotional breakdown and shared how he coped with it.

Asim said, ''I wasn't emotionally down. I became stronger in situations. It was in the year 2012-2013 when I was living in a PG with more than 15 people. I barely had 100 rupees in my pocket and I used to pay 8000 rupees rent.”

The actor further shared how he used to see his roommates in demotivating stage and how he used to motivate himself. “I had to motivate myself that I can do it. With so many people around, what motivation will one get lying on the floor on a mattress? There was no money and I used to think about how I will make it," he said.

Well, Asim Riaz has cleared all the hurdles and today he is one of the biggest stars on the small screen.
