Mumbai: Much-respected actor Arun Bali, who has worked in numerous films and television serials, has been not keeping well. The last two months have been purgatory for the Bali family. The seasoned actor, who was recently seen in Baaghi 2, was bedridden and in poor health.

According to exclusive information provided to TellyChakkar, after wrapping up his shoot for upcoming film Manmarziyan, the actor headed to Punjab and suffered an accident. The ultrasonography tests revealed a 2.5-mm kidney stone. Notwithstanding this, the 76-year-old was fit.

Only a few days later, his son Ankush Bali, who is also an actor, got a call from Delhi stating that his father had collapsed and lost consciousness.

When TellyChakkar contacted Ankush, he said, ‘I was shocked because he was fit and fine. He was in a semiconscious stage and couldn’t recognize anyone. His sodium levels had dropped. He was not able to move. We took him to Gangaram Hospital, where he was treated for his sodium levels. Over there, we also got to know that he has a hairline fracture in his back. However, we are very skeptical about an operation, since we have been advised that it should not be done at his age. Right now we are consulting Mr. Hans Nagar, a reputed orthopedic. He has given him medicines and told us that he’ll be ready to rock and roll within two months.’

The kidney stone has been removed, but the treatment is ongoing. The father–son duo is still in Delhi. Senior Bali has lost around 10–15 kilos. The actor can now walk, but needs his son’s assistance.

‘I hope he’ll be fine. He is recovering,’ Ankush said.

Ankush also revealed that he wouldn’t allow his father to resume work, at least until he is perfectly fit.
