Star Plus’ Anupamaa has been successfully ruling the hearts of viewers from the time of its launch. The show has made a place in millions of hearts, and the credit goes to the talented team of writers, who come up with a unique plot, and the stellar star cast, who leaves us spellbound with their performance.
The show has been constantly bagging for the number 1 position thanks to the team who works hard in front and behind the camera to bring out the best for the viewers.
TellyChakkar has learnt that Hotstar is all to bring the prequel of Anupamaa on its platform.

Yes, you read it right!
According to our sources, since it’s a prequel, the story will start from Anupamaa and Vanraj having completed 10 years of their wedding. It will be an 11-episode series.
Apart from Anupamaa and Vanraj, other characters like Baa, Bapuji, Toshu, Samar and Dolly will be part of the series.
Presently, Anupamaa is focusing on how Anupamaa has come out of her abusive marriage and has been living independently. She has found love in her college friend Anuj, with whom she plans to get married soon.
However, in the series, viewers will get a glimpse of Shah family’s earlier days and how Vanraj treats Anupamaa like a mere doormat.
The character of Anupamaa is played by Rupali Ganguly and Vanraj by Sudhanshu Pandey. Baa is reprised by Alpana Buch, Bapuji is Arvind Vaidya, Samar is portrayed by Paras Kalnwat, Toshu is Ashish Mehrotra, and Dolly’s part is played by Ekta Sariya.
