Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai helmed by Rajan Shahi has been a game changer for the channel with it running successfully for over six years now. The show today has completed 1700 episodes, making it one of the longest running serials on Indian television.
The daily has Karan Mehra (Naitik) and Hina Khan (Akshara) in the leads and will soon be presenting its tale post a 10 year leap. The positivity and simplicity of the story has been its USP and Yeh Rishta… continues to be a favourite of the masses. Post the leap, young actors Rohan Mehra and Ashnoor Kaur will be seen playing Naitik-Akshara’s kids.
Talking about the achievement, Rajan Shahi (Director’s Kut) shared, “It's been a memorable journey for all of us at DKP and Yeh Rishta has given us all-fame, prestige and credibility in the industry. The actors, who are currently shooting in Cape Town could not be reached for a comment, but Karan shared his excitement on Twitter.
