We heard wedding bells ringing constantly last year, as some of television’s beloved couples tied the knot in 2012.

TV business is hectic and often leaves with no time for the actors to spend leisurely hours. But amidst a tiring work life, the love birds did manage to fly away and take the holy nuptial vows. So Tellychakkar.com decided to count down the biggest TV celebrity weddings of 2012. Read on…

Nandish Sandhu - Rashmi Desai: Nandish and Rashmi got married legally on 9 February but on 12 February, they took the vows as per Hindu rituals in Rajashthan. The sangeet ceremony happened in Mumbai. Rashmi shopped her heart out in Delhi and the lovely couple looked gorgeous in their wedding attires.

Aamir Ali - Sanjeeda Sheikh: There is not a soul on this earth who can deny the fact that Aamir (Ali) and Sanjeeda (Sheikh) look absolutely stunning together. We will not be exaggerating if we call them a “heavenly couple”. Now, after dating each other for close to seven years, they finally tied the knot on 2 March. And guys…it was one helluva lavish ceremony with all the glitz and glitterati.

Karan Singh Grover - Jennifer Winget: Probably the most high profile and talked about wedding of 2012, TV hunk Karan Singh Grover and bubblicious beauty Jennifer Winger tied the knot on 9 April in a private affair. The couple has been spending a happy life together since then.

Nishant Shokeen - Ashneet Kaur: Actor Nishant Shokeen, last seen as Kanha in Choti Bahu, tied knot with Ashneet Kaur in a secret affair in US, on 23 April. They both are a wonderful couple.

Shveta Salve - Harmeet Sethi: Television actress Shveta Salve got married to her long-time boyfriend Harmeet Sethi on 24 April in Goa. Harmeet runs an entertainment company. The couple was joined by friends and relatives for the festivities. Spread over a couple of days, the wedding festivities included mehendi ceremony, among others.

Prasad Barve - Preeteek Khanvilkar: Prasad Barve, famously known for his character in Dill Mill Gayye, also got married in a private affair on 15 June. Prior to the wedding, Prasad shared with Tellychakkar.com, “Yes, I will have a traditional wedding. It will take place at Pune and will be a low key affair with a few close friends and family in attendance. No celebrity has been invited, but once I am back in town I plan to throw a big party.”

Tarun Khanna - Smriti Mohan: The lovebirds got married on 19 July and threw a big bash on 18th of the same month. The wedding was conducted as per Arya Samaj rituals and actor Aryan Vaid’s parents did Smtiti’s kanyadan. Both Tarun and Smriti looked stunning together.

Karan Mehra - Nisha Rawal: They both are super amazing individuals and Karan and Nisha tied the knot on 24 November in Noida, Delhi. Soon after the nuptial, the couple got busy with Nach Baliye season 5 (Star Plus) and will go for honeymooning only after the contest is over.

Sooraj Thapar - Deepti Dhyani: They both are fabulous TV actors. And they both fell in love on the sets of Imagine’s Chandragupta Maurya. This couple had a low profile nuptial which was a mix of Garwahli and Punjabi rituals as Deepti is a Garwahli while Sooraj is a Punjabi. The jodi tied the knot on 9 December.

Vaishnavi Dhanraj - Nitin Sharawat: Lovely jodi Vaishnavi and Nitin got married after a year-long courtship on 23 December. The lovely lady Vashinavi’s unbound happiness was evident when she told exuberantly in an interview just before the wedding, “I will be wearing an Indo-Western attire for the engagement, and ghagra-choli for the reception. Nitin will wear sherwani for the engagement, dhoti-kurta for the wedding and a black suit for the reception.”

Anjum Farooki - Saqib Sayed: Lovely and beautiful Anjum, who became a household name playing Gauri in Colors’ Balika Vadhu (Sphere Origins), tied the knot with merchant navy officer Saqib Sayed on 29 December. Many are not aware of the fact that Anjum, before becoming an actress, worked as a reporter in Tellychakkar.com. We wish her and her hubby a blissful life ahead.

Apart from them, Yamini Thakur, Shraddha Musle, Yash Sinha-Amrapali Gupta, also entered the wedlock.
