NDTV Imagine after tasting success on its prime time shows is all set to launch its afternoon slot for niche audiences. Chand Ke Par Chalo will be the first afternoon show and is scheduled to go on air by the end of July. It is produced by Gul Khan’s Tangerine Digital Films.
What is interesting is that Zalak Thakkar of Saarthi fame will be making her comeback with the show as the female lead.
“Yes, I’m playing the lead in the show. I can’t reveal much as the shooting of the show has not yet begun,” confirms Zalak.
On probing further she said, “It’s going to be a triangular love story. My role is completely different from what I did in Saarthi. I’m playing myself in the show, a twenty year old college- going girl.”
Who will play the male lead opposite you? “There is a new guy called Aham Sharma. There is one more girl who is not yet finalised. We’ll be starting the shoot in Mumbai in two days,” she informs.
Is there any thing else in the pipeline? “I believe in one show at a time. I want to concentrate only on this for the time being. Though if an offer from a dance reality show comes I’ll take it as I love to dance,” states the actress.
After Saarthi she did a Telugu film and is almost ready with her second one. “My second Telugu film is with NTR JR. Only the last schedule is left,” concludes Zalak.
Soon the afternoons are sure getting to spice up for couch potatoes.
