Your favourite buddies have passed their boards. No, not some exams, but they have completed a year successfully entertaining you all. Wondering what we are talking about? Channel [V]’s The Buddy Project (Sunshine Productions) completed its first birthday yesterday (23 July) and marked it with a grand celebration on the sets. Tellychakkar.com was there on sets to wish the actors. (We will soon upload the slideshow and the video). Firstly, we caught up with the good looking Fahad Ali, who was tied up shooting for multiple scenes. “It is unbelievable how this one year passed by so swiftly. KD (his character name) has given me immense popularity and recognition. Since the first scene of the show was shot on me, you can realise the kind of bonding I have developed with the show. When you start a project, you do not know how long it will last; but I am very happy that we have come so far and hope we go on and on,” said the actor. Agreeing with Fahad was the beautiful Bharati Kumar. She averred, “The Buddy Project (TBP) is like our baby and I hope the show never ends (smiles). It is my first show as a lead and since most of us are newcomers, it has helped us grow as actors.” Observed Sudhir Sharma, the producer of the show: “It is difficult for a show with a different concept to survive so long and that too so well. We bagged ‘The Best Youth Show’ award recently at the Twelfth Indian Telly Awards and that proves that the venture has been doing well with the masses. I would want the fans to continue loving it.” The handsome Manav Gohil, who plays JJ, said, “It is the first time in my career span that I have stuck to a show for so long and it is all because of the TBP team. We all gel really well and it is a treat working with Sunshine Productions. I would like to give all my fans a tight hug for all the love and appreciation they have heaped on us.” Added the smiling Kunal Jaisingh, “The journey has really been awesome with so much love and support coming from our fans. Also the team that I work with is superb. I am so thankful to everyone who helped us reach this far.” Talking about the team, Nikhil Mehta also added, “The amount of work that the off camera team gives in is indeed commendable. Each and every member of TBP puts in so much effort that one can easily say that it is for them that the show has become so popular. A big thank you to my team and all our fans.” Apart from the year-old cast, the new lot of actors too is excited about the birthday. Said the charming Samridh Bawa, “The journey with TBP is going really great. I have worked in TV shows before, but this has been my best experience so far. The entire team has welcomed us so nicely and warmly that it doesn’t feel we joined much later. I feel so proud to be a part of TBP and hope to work with the production house again and again.” Quipped Sonal Vengurlekar, “The journey has been awesome and a special thanks to the team and the fans who helped us reach so far.” A lot of fans had dropped in on the sets with cards and letters on this occasion. Added Fahad, “Our fans got us such lovely and touching letters. Their efforts show how much they love TBP. This first anniversary is all thanks to the fans. It is due to their immense love and support that we have survived this long and I hope that it will continue forever. Love all of you so much.” Congratulations…team Buddy Project!!!
