Multi talented actress Neha Sargam is on cloud nine these days!!!

The actress, who is currently seen in &TV’s newly launched mythological drama Parmavatar Shri Krishna, is also doing theatre.

Her play Mughal-E-Azam has received a lot of accolades in which she has played Anarkali. Recently, Neha has witnessed one of the biggest moments of her life that she will cherish forever for sure.

She got a chance to perform in front of the who’s who of the Bollywood film fraternity. Some of who graced the play were Rekha, Karan Johar, Sophie Chaudhry, Manish Malhotra and many others. She is ecstatic to have won a lot of appreciation from all of them.

In a candid conversation with Tellychakkar.com, Neha shared her experience

Neha was too ecstatic to keep a check on her words, talking about the occurence quipped she “It’s been a surreal experience for me; I am still sinking in. I was informed that Karan Johar along with his Mom, Rekha ji, Sophie Chaudhry, Manish Malhotra and many other are coming to see the play. I just wanted keep my focus on my performance, forgetting everything else. Rekha ji came backstage during the intermission. When I was called, she closed her eyes and said that she doesn’t want to see me at the moment. She just held my hand with her eyes closed, hugged me tight and said that I just want to feel you right now and I will see you only when the show will get over. She didn’t see me at all during that moment.”

“She came back after the show, hugged me and said – ‘Sahib-E-Alam (Salim) nahi, main apki peshani chumna chahti hun’ and she kissed my forehead. She praised my singing and acting, she also noticed, my tears were real. I was just awestruck and could do nothing but haplessly smile at her while she was praising me. I touched her feel and she hugged me. I told her that I am a big fan of hers’, to which her magnanimity replied she is the big fan of mine and she asked to mention her name on the top of my fan list,” she added.

“It was the biggest moment of my life. I would like to thank my director sir Feroz Abbas Khan and the entire team at NCPA. Even Karan Johar praised me and said that – you were superb on the stage. Sophie was so loving and she appreciated my performance as well. We all clicked pictures together,” signs off Neha.
