As for her acting career, Munmun she used to perform as a child singer for Akashvani and Doordarshan in Kolkata. While living in Pune, Dutta participated in fashion shows. She came to Mumbai and made her acting debut in Zee TV's 2004 serial Hum Sab Baraati.
