MUMBAI : Chirag Jani seems to be a favourite with the makers of Vignaharta Ganesh. The actor, who played the role of Sindhura in August 2017, in the same TV show, will soon reenter the show. This time, Chirag will essay the role of Surapadma, an asura, who is defeated by Kartikeya (Murugan) in a battle and then he becomes his vehicle in the form of a peacock.

Ask Chirag, why he has agreed to reenter the show and play another role, he said, "The audiences wanted to see me again and the production house likes my work. It is an interesting role, and if I get an opportunity to play different roles in the same show, why not? It just shows my versatility. It will be challenging to enact this role as I will fight the battle with Kartikeya."

The interesting part is; Chirag will also perform the Shiv Tandav Nrutiya in the show. He said, "Before going to the battlefield, Surapadman prays to Lord Mahadev like Raavan and performs the Tandav dance and Bhasma aarti to please him. This was extremely challenging and I hope the viewers enjoy this scene."

In addition to TV shows, Chirag also does Telugu, Kannada, Gujarati and Malayalam films and recently bagged the best actor in a villain role for the Tamil film Kaappaan (2019).
