Congratulations team Balika Vadhu for achieving a great milestone!!!

The Sphereorigins show on Colors is all set to break the mega record of airing the maximum number of episodes.  

The earlier record was held by the popular Star Plus soap Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi (Balaji Telefilms) that concluded on a magnificent 1833 number of episodes.

Balika Vadhu that is still running strong will equal the figure tomorrow (3 March) to go on to become the numero uno in the daily soap space.  

The show that showcased the evil practice of child marriage instantly became a hit. Having spread various messages on social causes, the show is now all set to take a leap and showcase the return of the pain of child marriage.

Balika Vadhu apart from having a heart touching storyline, also boasts of having a stellar star cast. Be it the young prodigies Avinash Mukherjee and Avika Gor to the talented Surekha Sikri, Anup Soni, Smita Bansal, Bhairavi Raichura among many more. Post the leap, Shashank Vyas and Pratyusha Banerjee essayed the role of the leads. Pratyusha soon moved out of the show being replaced by Toral Rasputra and Siddharth Shukla also joined soon to add his charm.

With the show achieving this milestone, one of the key writers Raghuvir Shekhawat said, “I think Balika Vadhu is no longer just a show for us but a means of presenting social messages. The way people have accepted and loved us is beyond what we ever hoped for. Even though numbers have seen a downfall, the respect for our show was throughout maintained.
