The importance of a makeup artist is gravely underrated, whether it is creating a look onscreen or giving an actor a complete makeover, they use their creativity and cosmetics to make real works of art.

Kalpesh Desai is currently working on popular shows like Yeh Jaadu hai Jinn ka, Shubhaarambh, Barrister Babu, Tere Seher Mein, and innumerable more. The makeup maverick goes on to list Ye Jaadu hai Jinn Ka as his most interesting experience where he was given a free hand to experiment with looks with full support from the producers.

Ask him whether he has faced any filmy-tantrums and he is quick to say ''I am fortunate enough to have worked with the cream of the industry, people respect what you do if you do it well''.

He also mentions that his long association with actor Purab Kohli has been a blessing and the actor has supported him through his challenging phase of life. The artist signed off with a one-line Golden Advice for upcoming makeup artists - ''Don't shy away from giving your time and sweat to this industry, it pays back in abundance.''
