MUMBAI: Vignharta Ganesha actress Akanksha Puri is going through a tough phase. Her father got hospitalised after getting a stroke.

TellyChakkar.com contacted Akanksha to check on her and her father and had a wonderful conversation with this strong lady. Talking about the situations, Akanksha said, “Life is never easy!! Looks like God is on a testing mode for a few months but like I always say “Ahamasmi Yodha” I am a fighter!! So, I will fight this battle too with a smile like my father says. Looking at my father’s attitude I feel I still need to learn a lot!! He got a stroke and his body got paralysed, the doctor said we need to operate him immediately or else he can go into a coma. I took the first flight and reached Indore before his surgery!! My father is a tough guy and he is fighting this with a smile, his willpower and positive attitude gives all of us strength!  Unke aage bimaari ne bhi give up kar diya. His surgery was successful and his limbs started moving and he is all set to leave the hospital bed and run back home on his feet. Definitely he will take a few weeks to recover but with this positive attitude I don’t think it will take much time for him.  (Read here: Akanksha Puri announces her next project ) 

She added, “Definitely it is difficult and I was not prepared for this, especially when I am serving my show’s notice period and all set for a new journey, already a lot going on in work space, but looking at my dad and his attitude I forgot everything. I am with him throughout the day in the hospital, feeding him with my hands, spending time with him like never before as because of COVID only one person from the family is allowed per patient so we decided mutually it will be ME”.

Ask her if her father’s health will affect her professionally, she said, “Not at all!! My dad will be discharged in a few days and I will fly back to Mumbai and resume work!! More than me, my Dad is excited to resume his work, he is bored already!! He won’t be happy to see my work suffer because of this!! Afterall being workaholic runs in the family”.

One can only take motivation and inspiration from the way Akanksha is dealing with all the stress in her personal and professional life with that million-dollar smile on her face.
