David Dhawan didn't stand for me during my bad time - Govinda

Govinda

When he smiles the entire world gets mesmerized. From his acting to his flexible dance moves,  this actor has fluttered everyone over the years.

Well, we are talking about Bollywood's dancing superstar Govinda who has returned to television as a judge with Zee TV’s dance reality show DID Supermoms (Esselvision).

Yesterday, at the press meet, the dapper actor looked all happy and poured his heart out about his once close friend David Dhawan to Tellychakkar.com.

Govinda and David Dhawan, once a hit pair that churned out blockbusters films like Coolie No. 1, Haseena Maan Jaayegi, Partner and more, have parted away since few years now.

Call it irony, but David Dhawan’s son Varun is now being compared to Govinda especially for his comic timing and dance moves.

When we asked Govinda if he sees Varun as the next Govinda, the actor shared, “When Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor entered in Bollywood they were also compared to me. These days people say that Varun is a lot like me. I have seen Varun growing, he is a very hard working actor and may god bless him.”

Having churned out many blockbusters together, we asked Govinda if one could see the famous duo (Govinda and David) collaborating again. “No, never. He did not stand for me during my bad time. In between I was really looking out for work and he didn’t help me. And I believe you should not meet and be with the person who thinks you are not capable enough. You shouldn’t be with the person who thinks you are a liability on him. I think the love between us that has been there over the years should remain the same. At present, he is a proud father and let him be happy. I have nothing to do with his films, nor do I want to discuss films with him.”

All we can say is let bygones be bygones and hug it out!
