Delnaazz says no to soaps; signs on four films

The addition of letters 'a' and 'z' to her name haven't proved to be all that lucky for bubbly Delnaazz Paul; atleast on the small screen. Delnaaz, last seen in Balaji's Karam Apnaa Apnaa, is apparently left with nothing on her plate. While maintaining that she has in no way quit TV, she says "Right now, I am focusing on my film career. Fortunately, I have signed on four films which include[] Ravi Chopra's Bhootnath, Saurabh Shukla's I am 24, and Mahesh Bhatt's Showbiz where I play cupid to Tushar Kapoor and Mrinalini Sharma."

Fortunately, I have signed on four films which include[] Ravi Chopra's Bhootnath, Saurabh Shukla's I am 24, and Mahesh Bhatt's Showbiz where I play cupid to Tushar Kapoor and Mrinalini Sharma." Refusing to reveal much about her characters in the above films, she says " In most of my films, I play an important role, one that can never offer any threat to my co-stars." However, one film that she's eagerly awaiting is Boney's Kapoor's Milenge Milenge where she has a plum role. Keeping mum on her character, a thrilled Delnaazz says that this film is going to be revolution in Indian music industry. Showering praises on Himesh Reshammaiya, the actress believes that this has to be his best performance. So, does this mean tata bye bye for tv? " No, no. Please don't assume that I've quit TV. It's just that I wasn't getting any good roles and I no longer want to act in daily soaps. I am literally dying to do a sitcom even if it means dedicating 25 days of the month. But unfortunately, we don't have any good comedy shows nor do I see one on the horizon," she says. Apart from comedy, the actress is also keen to host a show. Unfortunately, neither of the two seems to be materializing for her. On a concluding note, we asked her whether she's honed her dancing skills post the Nach Baliye experience. The actress gave us a firm reply. "No! I have always found it difficult to learn it. However, I think I am a capable dancer." Trust Delnaazz to deliver on what she says. We just hope that the makers of Comedy Circus and TGILC are listening to this aspiring comedian.
