MUMBAI: The lead actor of the popular TV show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma, Dilip Joshi is immensely loved for his role. He plays the role of Jethalal, a Gujarati businessman, who often gets into trouble leading to tons of comedy for the audiences. In the show, it is shown that Jethalal has a romantic inclination towards his neighbor Babita. Babita is shown as a modern and beautiful Bengali woman, who is married to Iyer. The chemistry between Jethalal and Babita is immensely loved by the audience. In an interview with Jansatta, Dilip Joshi talks about the role of Babita in the show.

Talking about the show, he told that when he was offered the role of Jethalal, he also helped others for the roles. He also her Munmum Dutta to get a role in the show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma. As per the reports, Munmun Dutta was cast in the show because of the suggestion of Dilip Joshi. After the show started Babita and Jethalal’s romance became a superhit and the audience loved to see Jethalal head over heels falling for her and do stupid things for her.
