MUMBAI: Kapil Sharma is the undisputed king of comedy. The comedian's show Comedy Nights With Kapil which aired on Colors was extremely popular among the viewers.

From the concept to the star cast, the viewers loved every bit of the show. It went on to become one of the most successful comedy reality shows of the small screen, developing a huge fan-following.

And now, here's an interesting fact about Comedy Nights With Kapil which not many are aware of.

The show is an unofficial adaptation of the British show The Kumars at No. 42, complete with an unmarried aunt, a libidinous grandmother, a dangerously fat neighbour and a nagging wife.

The show has introduced other concepts as well such as solo stand-ups and sketches between the characters and interaction with members of the audience. However, Kapil Sharma has never openly talked about the adaptation.
