Ace Director Ravindra Gautam will yet again don the hat of the Producer for a new fiction show for Star Plus.

His newly formed company Paperbags Films Pvt. Ltd. is presently working on a sports based show for Star, tentatively titled Durga.

As per credible sources, “Durga will be the tale of a girl who would aspire to become an athlete.”

As we know, Star Plus has recently launched Tamanna, the story of a girl aspiring to become a cricketer. And now, the trend of stories with the backdrop of sports will continue on the channel with this new venture coming from Ravindra Gautam.

As per news coming in, the casting process is presently on.

The role of the lead protagonist will be played by Nidhi Nautiyal, who bagged initial limelight as Rita Reporter in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chahsmah. The girl later ventured towards movies, and has few movies down South to her credit.

Versatile actor Rakhi Tandon has been locked to play a pivotal role, is what we hear.

Our source further adds, “Work on the show is proceeding at a high pace. Once the entire cast gets locked, the show will go on floor.”

For the uninitiated, Ravindra Gautam who has set up lot many popular shows on TV as director has produced a show titled Armaanon Ka Balidaan, under his earlier banner RG Media and Entertainment.

His new production house, Paperbags Films Pvt. Ltd. has been formed in partnership with Mr. Pradeep, who has a vast experience in the TV industry, and has worked under various renowned production houses.
