MUMBAI: SAB TV’s Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is much loved by the audience. Although every character is adored by the audience in equal proportion, Jethalal’s wife Daya, played by Disha Vakani, was arguably the most adored. We all have grown up watching her say ‘Hey maa, mataji’ and 'Tapu ke papa'.

Recently, Disha as Dayaben gave a glimpse of her look during Navratri celebrations in the show. However, it was just a small appearance and everyone is now curious to know when Disha will start shooting full-fledged.

We’ve noticed a striking similarity between Disha Vakani and her on-screen character of Dayaben, and we’re sure the audience would surely agree with us.

Dotting housewife: Like Daya, Disha too is a dotting housewife. She is a family woman who keeps her family before anything and everything.

Traditional: Daya was always seen wearing sarees and accessories depicting a proper Gujarati housewife. Disha, in real life, too prefers wearing traditional clothes with minimum or no skin show.

Love for her child and husband: Dayaben has been an extremely protective, loving, and caring mother to her son, Tappu. She is also caring and responsible towards her husband, Jethalal. Disha too has the same qualities.

Needless to say, Disha is Dayaben’s replica.
