MUMBAI: It's hard to remain calm because Pranali Rathod is about to return to television with a new show called Durga. In the upcoming daily soap opera, the TV diva, who captured hearts with her portrayal of Akshara in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai opposite Harshad Chopda, will play the lead role.
A new show for the Colors channel is being brought by the makers of Jhanak. The first schedule for the Jodhpur shoot is finished.

"The production house is making their grand debut on Colors TV with the new show tentatively titled Durga. Pranali Rathod was the perfect fit for the show as she aced the audition and look test. The makers are confident that the show will strike a chord with the audience just like their previous show Jhanak on Star Plus," a source said.
As Pranali Rathod portrays Durga, Aashay Mishra will be seen in the role of Anurag. Indira Krishnan will play a crucial role in supporting them. The first episode of the show will premiere on September 16 at 7:40 p.m.
A promo was posted on Colors TV's official Instagram account, with the caption reading as, “Barso se chali aa rahi reet ko sapno se todne, aa rahi hai Durga apni kismat badalne. Dekhiye #Durga 16th September se, shaam 7:40 baje sirf #colorstv aur @officialjiocinema par (sic)."
Ayesha Singh and Harshad Chopda were among the actors who left comments on the post. Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin fame Ayesha Singh wrote, "Congratulations @aashaymishraa and @pranalirathodofficial You guys look beautiful. Rock it (sic)."
Fans poured their hearts out in the comments section, but Harshad's comment took center stage. Harshad Chopda gave his Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai co-star a shoutout and turned her into a cheerleader. Bepannaah actor commented, "Finally and it's worth all the wait. Way to go. Yeyeyeyeeeee (sic)."
His comment quickly became popular on the Internet. Next month, Durga will take Parineetii's place at 7:40 p.m.
