Eijaz Khan and Splitsvilla fame Mohit Hiranandani to play the leads in Sony TV’s Patiala Babes?

MUMBAI: TellyChakkar recently broke the news about well-known writer Rajita Sharma bringing a new show titled Patiala Babes for Sony TV under her banner Katha Kottage.

Diya Aur Baati Hum actress Deepika Singh was supposed to make her comeback with the daily. However, as per media reports, Paridhi Sharma of Jodha Akbar fame fit into the character really well and has been finalized to play the female protagonist.

Paridhi was on a maternity break and was blessed with a baby girl recently.

Our sources also tell us that talented actor Eijaz Khan is in talks to play the male lead.

Eijaz rose to fame with Kkavyanjali and Kyaa Hoga Nimmo Kaa. He last appeared as Raidhan Raj Katara in Sony’s Yeh Moh Moh Ke Dhaagey.

In addition, Mohit Hiranandani of Splitsvilla 10 fame is likely to essay the parallel lead.

When we contacted Eijaz, he shared, ‘Yes, I am in talks, but nothing is finalized yet.’

Mohit remained unavailable for comment, while Rajita asked us to call later.
