MUMBAI: We all know that celebrities have their loyal fans. We also hear about fans doing crazy things for their favourite celebrity. But things become difficult when some fans invade the privacy of celebrities. Something similar has happened with TV Czarina Ekta Kapoor. She was stalked by a person, and now he has been arrested.  

According to media reports, Ekta was stalked over 30 times by a 32-year-old man named Sudhir Rajender Singh in the recent months. 

Reports further stated that the accused who hails from Haryana wanted to meet Ekta and ask her for a job, and also wanted to be friends with her. She ignored him, but he continued to chase her.

A Police Officer was quoted, “A few days back, when Ekta had gone to visit a temple in Juhu, Singh followed her there also and tried to approach her but was caught by her personal guards and he was warned to stay away from her. We have registered the complaint under section 354 (D) of the Indian Penal Code and with the help of CCTV and some technical evidence, the accused was traced from Andheri west Veera Desai road. The case is under investigation.” 

Police arrested Sudhir Rajender Singh on Monday night after a complaint of stalking was lodged against him.
