MUMBAI: A few days back, Ekta Kapoor announced the good news to the entire world! Since then her friends and well-wishers have been pouring in love and blessings on her and her new born baby.  

The producer and director welcomed her baby boy via surrogacy on 27 January 2019. To announce the good news, she had written on social media, "By God's grace, I have seen many successes in my life, but nothing beats the feeling of this beautiful soul being added in my world. I cannot even begin to express how happy my baby's birth has made me. Everything in life doesn't go the way you want it to but there are always solutions to those hiccups. I found mine and today I feel immensely blessed to become a part. It is an emotional moment for me and my family and I can't wait to begin this new journey of being a mother to my little bundle of joy, Ravie Kapoor."

Ekta named her son Ravie Kapoor after her father and veteran actor Jeetendra, whose original name is Ravi Kapoor. Although she revealed the name of her baby on social media, the family decided to do it the traditional way. And, yesterday, Ekta hosted her newborn baby's naming ceremony, which was attended by the bigwigs of television world.   

The occasion was graced by her best friends from telly town including Smriti Irani, and Sakshi Tanwar. Other popular celebrities who were present at the ceremony were Erica Fernandes, Parth Samthaan and Pooja Banerjee, and TV couples including Anita Hassanandani and Rohit Reddy, Karan Patel and Ankita Bhargava, Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya, Shabbir Ahluwalia and Kanchi Kaul.
