MUMBAI: Zee TV's popular show Kumkum Bhagya is currently one of the longest running shows on television. It is coming up with exciting drama and shocking twists in its further segments, as Prachi and Siddharth will get engaged.

Aparna Mishra plays the role of Shahna Sharma, Prachi's best friend and sister-figure. She is absolutely loved by the audience for her performance.

She has been part of Secret Diaries – The Hidden Chapters, Yeh Hai Aashiqui and Savdhaan India.

Tellychaklar recently got in touch with the actor and got to know interesting insights.

Your character is like the backbone but not everyone notices it easily. How do you feel about that and what do you have to say about the journey of your character Shahana?

“Shahana has grown a lot. When she entered the show, she did not say much. She definitely took a stand for Prachi whenever she needed it. But over the course of time, a lot of shades have been shown of Shahna. She even falls in love with Aryan. Slowly, she is not just taking a stand for Prachi, she is fighting with everyone for just one person, Prachi. The character is very interesting and I love playing it.”

Your on-screen bond is best with Prachi. How is that off-screen or who do you gel with the most off-screen?

“I gel with all of them but mostly Mugdha and Krishna. With Mugdha, it is exactly the same as what it is like on-screen. We are like sisters from another mother. We are even friends with others on the set and eat together. We keep roaming around together and we even understand signs as to what the other want to say.”

There have been rumours about your link up with Krishna Kaul. What do you have to say about that?

“Actually we are best friends. We in fact met on this show and we became friends on the show itself. We are really close friends and all these are just rumours. If someone will meet us, they will think we are such good friends. Everyone thinks that we are together but we are not. If there was something, I would have said so. But we are only good friends plus co-actors. We work, gym and travel together.
