MUMBAI : Tellychakkar recently got in touch with the actress and got to know interesting insights about the show and her character.

Chaitrali Gupte is an Indian television and film actress who mainly works in the Marathi industry. She is best known for Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke, Piyaa Albela, and Shrimant Damodar Pant.

She is currently portraying the role of Devika Rana in Star Plus’ Imlie. She is loved for her character and her performance. 

Tellychakkar recently got in touch with the actress and got to know interesting insights about the show and her character.

What are your thoughts on the current track of the show where Chini is creating such ruckus and chaos in everyone’s lives in the Rana house?

“Chini is creating a lot of chaos but Imlie is standing strong and Rudra and I are with her; completely supporting her. As for my character, Devika is absolutely in favor of Imlie and against Chini. We know that whatever Imlie will do for Atharva, will be in his good interest so that is what Imlie is all about. Imlie does not even know about Chini’s intentions, we on the other hand, are aware of her vicious intentions. We cannot even tell Imlie the truth because they are sisters and won’t be able to bear what Chini is doing. So I am liking the track.”

Do you feel the need to play a stronger character that has more input and contribution to the plot?

“I absolutely feel that, but it is a daily soap. Things unfold slowly. In daily soaps, if you release multiple things together, then the audience gets confused about what to focus on. It has not been that long since the leap and things will unfold gradually for me.”

What are the similarities and differences you find between you and Devika?

“A similarity is that we both are very supportive towards our husband and our children. In the plot, I am not very supportive of Akash because he is not the one who does good deeds while Atharva is not like that. So, in real life am very supportive of my daughter. I support her come what may. We were with her even when she chose a different stream than the rest of our family. Devika is like that too, very positive and so am I in real life. The other similarities are that we both are very strong, determined, passionate, and proud mothers.”
