MUMBAI: Tellychakkar is back with yet another update from the telly world. 

Azaad, which has launched several shows in the past, is now gearing up for a new show soon. 

The show's name is Meri Doli Mere Angana.

TellyChakkar had previously reported about actress Dhrisha Kalyani being roped in for the show. 

And now, we have exclusively learnt that Dharmendra Gupta and Archana Damohe have also been roped in for the show. 

Talking about his role, Dharmendra said, ''I'll be seen playing the role of Nagendra Singh, and it will be a positive role. I'll be seen as the lead actress' uncle on the show and Rudrakshi Gupta's husband. Worship Khanna will be seen as my son.''

Meanwhile, Archana Damohe will be seen as Dadi. 

She said, ''I am playing Dad's character. My character is positive and she is extremely cute and bubbly.''

Interestingly, Archana is also the dialogue writer of the show. 

The show is surely going to be quite interesting, as the story gives a social message about gender equality. Talking about the backdrop, it is in a village where the family gets lucky after the birth of their daughter Janki and all the success they receive with her existence. It indeed sends a strong message to stop gender discrimination in these rudimental societies and communities.

Meri Doli Mere Angana shall air on Azaad as well as MX Player.
