MUMBAI: Zindagi Mere Ghar Aana has indeed made a place in everyone's hearts with its soulful story. The show replaced Shaurya Aur Anokhi Ki Kahani on Star Plus. It is a love story about a tenant and a bahu of a house. She is pregnant and widowed.
Esha Kansara and Hasan Zaidi are playing the lead roles. We can see that it is a love story where two opposites meet. While Esha is the eternal optimist, Hasan's character is that of a pessimist. We have to see what happens when the two meet. The story looks like it will be a refreshing change with its concept.
Well, apart from the duo there is one special character that has won a million hearts already and that is Kabeer aka Ishaan Dhawan. For those who didn't know, this show is Ishaan's debut on TV and it is unbelievable that this dapper was not a part of the showbiz earlier.
In an exclusive conversation with the handsome, we asked him about his journey as an actor, his bond with Swati Shah and so on.
What made you take up acting?
I came to Mumbai in search of a Software Development Job, but I got an AD film. I was into software development, I used to make gym based softwares. I studied Engineering and MBA before getting my first Ad break. And then I guess there has been no looking back.
I feel Engineers can do everything as they keep exploring new things while they are studying. By the time they graduate, they have a defined skill set including their graduation degree. I was into music earlier, then forayed into Music production, software development, Marketing, Event Management Promotions, and then made my way through Bebakee and then Zindagi Mere Ghar Aana. I feel it's a blessing in itself.
Ishaan shares an anecdote, 6 years back, Mom and I used to watch the tv shows on Star Plus. It is still a dream to me, I still think I am actually playing a role in a Starplus Show. For us all who come from outside Mumbai have a completely different perspective for all the actors. For us they are a major figure.
What makes it different from the Web to TV?
On the web, I didn't have a big role, the scope of portrayal was lesser in comparison to TV. I didn't get a hold on Hamid, but with Kabeer I get to nurture my character and bring new shades in front of the audience. I have found more prominence with my character Kabeer. As a fresher for Hamid I don't think I learnt much from there how much I have grown in TV with Kabeer.
What is your dream character?
I like to perform action sequences, I love to watch action films a lot, so in future if I get something in that kind of a character then I am surely doing it. Coming to Mumbai I have come closer to spirituality and this has indeed changed my perspective in life.
Tell us about your bond with Swati Shah, on screen mother?
I have found a family with Zindagi Mere Ghar Aana, Swati Ma'am is soo adorable, a wonderful person. She has turned more like my mom here. She brings such tasty food for all of us. The whole cast is so lovely to work with professionally and personally.
Well, Kabeer has already made a place in everyones' hearts
