MUMBAI:Gashmeer Mahajani is a well-known television star. He rose to fame with his performance as Aditya in StarPlus's Imlie, where he was paired opposite Imlie and the couple was loved by the audience.

But a few months back, Gashmeer decided to quit the show as he wanted to do something different, and hence, he put an end to Aditya Tripathi. The fans were heartbroken with this news as they would miss him on the show.

Gashmeer is a huge star in the world of Marathi cinema and he has done a lot of work there. He debuted with P. Som Shekar's Hindi film 'Muskurake Dekh Zara' in the year 2010. In 2015, he achieved popularity when Carry On Maratha was his Marathi film debut and 'Deool Band' were released.

These days, he is grabbing the headlines for his participation in the reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa where he is showcasing his dance skills and impressing the audience and the judges of the show.

Tellychakkar got in touch with the actor and asked him what he thinks about Sumbul’s game in Bigg Boss 16 and which is his favorite performance.

Since you yourself are a choreographer, was it awkward for you to be choreographed by someone else?

I haven't done professional choreographing. I have done just one for a musical play at Prithvi theatre and was only handling the camera part. I have learned about dance and choreography from here and that’s why it never hit my ego as I haven’t choreographed for that level and she has been my best teacher who taught me the best forms.

Which is the performance that you love and that gives you peace after you watch it?

The one performance which I love is that I watched with my son, and it was my opening act and the act of Dil Sae, where we won the golden chair for the first time and I want to dance more and give my best for the finale of the show.

What do you have to say about Sumbul’s game in Bigg Boss Season 16?

I don’t know what’s happening as I don’t watch the show. I even don’t know who is Shalin Bhanot! I have worked with Sumbul for almost a year, and my routine was going on set and being the first one and then reading the script and making changes to it. Post that, I would discuss it with Sumbul and my director so that was the kind of bond I shared with her.

One thing I can vouch for, is that she is an excellent actress and there can be no one like her on television.

Well, there is no doubt that Gashmeer is a very strong contestant, and no wonder he has reached the finale of the show. We would love to watch his stellar dancing skills in action once more!
