MUMBAI: Udaariyaan is one of the most popular and profitable shows on television, with a compelling storyline that keeps viewers engaged. The show has been rapidly ascending the success ladder. With its tremendous twists and turns, it is one of the top shows on the TRP ratings.
Ankit received a lot of praise for his portrayal of Dr. Abhishek Kumar in the Colors TV serial Balika Vadhu. He rose to prominence as Parth Kashyap in Channel V's Sadda Haq, a youth-oriented show.
Ankit was also known for his appearances in shows like Begusarai, Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi, Kundali Bhagya, and many more.
TellyChakkar got in touch with Ankit Gupta aka Fateh to talk about the current track, fans' reactions, and his first impression of his co-star Priyanka Chahar Chaudary:
As we can finally see that Fateh and Tejo are coming closer together and realizing their feelings for each other, in the current track what is your take on it?
Fateh loves everyone, there are times when he loved Jasmine, now he loves Tejo, all Fateh wants is to be loved, and spread love. For the 6 months, all he can think about is Tejo and the guilt he has felt, and finally realizing everything that has happened, he is roaming around a lovelorn person.
Fans of Fatejo are very attached to your characters and they take to social media to let their feelings be known if they see that something might make you distant again, how do you react to that?
The fans do bless us with a lot of love, and I am very grateful for that, but I don't want them to get into fights with each other and I don't want them to fight with anyone at all, we understand your concern and your love but we don't want you to feel negative at all. And it felt like there was war going on but I love them and their passion.
You and Priyanka have been working together for almost a year together, and now there is definitely a bond but what was your first impression of each other?
The thing is that I am a very introverted person and I don't judge anyone from the first meeting, I only open up with some people and that is something I share with Priyanka, I call her Tejo, but we have very similar personalities and she is very caring, it's the small gestures, she knows that I like yogurts, so sometimes she gets them for me, or she'll order juice, it the small things.
