Well, the show got two new storms in Anupamaa's life with Anuj and Rohan. We got in touch with Rohan aka Varun Sharma and asked him a few questions about joining the show, here's what he has to share:

How has the experience been entering the much-adored show Anupamaa?

Till now I have just done two or three scenes, the character will completely unveil shortly. Rohan will bring a tornado in Samar and Nandini's life. He claims to be her first love and he will always be as she had also tattooed his name. This love triangle will surely bring new twists and turns to their lives. As the track goes further you will see more shades of Rohan. Till now, the experience has been quite interesting. Everybody is very calm and loving, Anagha and Paras have been really good and welcoming.

Is it challenging to be a part of shows that have a cultural backdrop?

When you enter a show midway all the other actors are already in the rhythm. You have to be smart enough to catch the flow of other characters and join the same. More than challenging I find it interesting to do it. In Anupamaa, Rohan uses words like Bro, Dude as he is an NRI and has a modern approach. I am enjoying this whole process, I wished I could have been a part of their Janmashtami Celebrations as it is a major festival in Gujarati Culture but my character wasn't fitting that scene. It's a completely different experience.

How challenging is it to join a show midway?

That has been challenging, when Anagha and I did the first scene we had to portray that I know her for a very long time. I know the person very closely, we took the approach creatively and I am sure it was portrayed very well on the screen. To join any show midway has a certain responsibility to stand out with the character and I am glad for doing characters like Atharva, Riteish Barot, and now Rohan.
