MUMBAI: Anupamaa has been the most adored show on the television right now with TRPs nothing less than 4 on weekly basis. Its gripping storyline and mind-blasting twists keep the audience glued to their screens. Fans and viewers have connected to Anupamaa so deeply that they couldn't afford to miss even a single episode of the show.

We rang the charmer and asked him few questions about the show and more, here's what he had to say:

Have you worked with Sudhanshu Sir and any other cast members before the show?

I have not got a chance to work with Sudhanshu Ji yet, but I have seen his work was so many years in movies and music videos and also on the show. So yeah I mean I have grown up watching him because he was one of the top models back in the day and that was the time when I started thinking that I would also want to be a model one day and so yeah it's lovely to get a chance to work with them. And hasn't started working or shooting with him yet but as much as I have heard from other people he is fun to be around and(yeah man )he also works out and so do I, so we have a lot to talk about and I am going to learn a lot from him.

If you had to put Anuj Kapadia in a league of industrialists, who would he be likely to have @ power lunch with?

If I would say that Anuj Kapadia as a character in a league of industrialists would be likely to be sitting at the lunch table with certain people, I would certainly believe that is he is there with the Richard Branson's of the world you know because, like Mr Richard Branson whose business tycoon on the name itself and he is also into adventure, he is also into a lot of other things apart from just being lovely and famous.

Did you take inspiration from anyone or any movie or any character for this role?

I generally like doing a lot of homework before going on the floor with a certain character because I always believe that there should be work done on a character before a performance is delivered, only then you can you know like portray those certain nuisances and certain qualities in that character which the viewers eventually pick up and they like. So as this guy is very stylish and sway in his business meetings but apart from being all that he is very very very humble and he is very lovable. And he has that X-Factor and that charm about himself which creatives and Rajan sir precisely told me that we need in Anuj so I personally you know I tried watching a lot of videos of the top tycoons in the world and not picking anyone I think from a particular individual but I'll try to pick up certain attributes. I like when a businessman speaks in a meeting the body languages are different, and when the same person is speaking and giving interviews or speaking to the media or he, is speaking to his family, the body language is different so I tried to incorporate that and hopefully, that would come across when I perform the role of Anuj Kapadia. Not one person I would like to mention that I have taken inspiration from, but yes of course there's a world out there and as an actor I've always been very attentive around people surrounding me so I have subconsciously or unconsciously, I can't say, but I have tried to incorporate a lot of body language input from a lot of real people around.

What else do you see yourself doing next?

Generally, I like doing a lot of work, that most of my fans know that I've done some varied characters in my career as an actor and I am very happy because every character has added something to my craft and I've learnt something new and, you know as an actor I have progressed, as an individual, as a personality I have progressed in life and emotionally I have progressed. So I feel what should I see myself doing next, as of now I am really focused on the character of Anuj Kapadia and I am giving it my hundred per cent and I love the role and (yeah man) I really really do want people to like Anuj Kapadia or because I like the character so much as an individual.
