MUMBAI:  Anupamaa is the most adored show on television right now with TRPs nothing less than 3.8 on weekly basis. Its gripping storyline and mind-blasting twists keep the audience glued to their screens. Fans and viewers have connected to Anupamaa so deeply that they couldn't afford to miss even a single episode of the show.

Anupamaa has been trending not only for Anuj and Anupamaa's brewing chemistry but also Leela and Paritosh's reactions to the same. We rang Leela aka Alpana Buch and asked her about her views on the current track and more. Guess what answers she had for us.

What is Leela's take on the current track between Anupamaa and Anuj?

Leela has never changed, she represents society and its ideologies. Leela has always believed that a woman is not allowed to fall for someone else if she is married, now the demographics have changed in her life so have the relations but Leela is not ready to accept the change. She makes sure that her house, her son, her grandson's life keeps going smoothly and for all that she needs Anupamaa. She is feeling insecure about it.

Leela has not accepted Kavya completely, she knows that Kavya won't take up responsibilities. She knows Anupamaa is the only one who can handle it all, this is the main scare that is not letting her accept Anuj in Anupamaa's life. Talking about hypocrisy, yes society is somewhere hypocritical. Talking about Leela, she is old school so accepting this would be difficult for her.

If Alpana had to decide for Anupamaa what would she do?

Anupamaa is free from all other bonds, she is not morally committed to someone. In that case, if someone is coming into her life then why not. I would surely accept it. Her kids are all old enough, they have settled. Anupamaa has her whole life in front of her, least if not a life partner then she deserves a companion for sure.

Fans have missed you in Gujarati Cinema, what do you have to say about it?

I am dying to do films again, I am doing a daily soap that is no.1. We have a completely different stress level to do the character at its best. When we do one character for a long time, it begins to live in you so to take a break from them, doing Gujarati films has been the best, and they have made some amazing films in such a short span.

I have been getting offers from films every month, I am hopeful that when I get a chance for a breather from the producers, I'll surely pick one. I really want to be a part of the industry with films like Hellaro and such beautiful storylines.

Who do you consider your greatest critique?

I am my own critique, I am never satisfied with my work. Every time I see my performance, I keep thinking this could have been better. So yes! I am my own biggest critique for sure.
