MUMBAI: Anupamaa is currently ruling our television screen and winning hearts all over. 

Madalsa Sharma is currently portraying the role of Kavya in Star Plus’ Anupamaa, which is her television debut.

She made her acting debut in the 2009 Telugu film Fitting master. She went on to do various south Indian films post that. Her maiden Bollywood film Angel, by choreographer Ganesh Acharya released in 2011 and she received a lot of praise for her performance. Later in 2014, her second Hindi film, Sooraj Barjatya Rajshri Productions' Samrat & Co. released.

Tellychakkar recently got in touch with the actress and got to know interesting insights. 

What are your thoughts on the current track of the show which focuses on Dimple and the horrifying incident?

“The current track brings along a lot of information and throws light on many issues that yet have to be dealt with.  When you show a track about something which is happening all over the world, people want to see a good positive end for the entire society. We are trying to show something that is going on all around us, it is going to be very emotional and very realistic. Anupamaa is anyway known to have realistic elements, people relate to all the twists and turns of the show”.

On one hand, Baa does not want Anupama to fight as she fears it might backfire while Anupama wishes to fight for justice. As Madalsa, what is your take on the situation?

“I feel that if you have that kind of power where you think you can make a difference, it does not matter how difficult the circumstances may get around you, then you should make use of that power. Some people are powerful but do not take an initiative. But then there comes someone who takes that one step and it makes all the difference. So that one step is the step we are hoping to take or for someone to take so that it’s a better future for the entire country. But if you are someone like Baa, she has a family to worry about. People can take the frustration out on anyone from the family. Baa is also not wrong here because she is looking after her family. On other hand, Anupama is also scared but wishes to make a difference.”

On the other hand, we are watching the track of Adhik and Pakhi who recently went ahead and got married without everyone’s consent. What do you have to say to such kids who these days take decisions impulsively? 

“I think being impulsive is good sometimes when you have to make career moves. But when it comes to personal life, I think being impulsive is not a good idea because you are just thinking about yourself at that very moment. But when that moment passes, it’s not just you in the picture, you have your entire family to consider. You are not living your life on your own, you are responsible for your family and loved ones. So when young teenagers feel that they are in love and they want to get married, if the family is okay with it and you think it is the right thing to do, keeping in mind your career too, then you should go ahead with it. But to go against your family and all odds, just to come across as a rebel, does not last long. When reality hits, you cannot do much about it. So might as well think it through before you take such an important decision.”
